Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. She gained the attention of the world in 2010 through her hits "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses," British vocalist Ellie Goulding quickly rose to the top of the charts due to her infectious electronic pop sound. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack for composing captivating, yet emotional tracks, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap is at the top of modern mainstream music as well as an independent, artistic pop.Goulding was soon moving from the blogosphere to print media, garnering recognition from major publications such as The Guardian and fielding offers from record companies. Polydor Records, a major music label, signed her and started preparations to release her debut album.
